Are All Single Board Computers fanless?
Not all single board computers (SBCs) are fanless; the cooling solution depends on the device’s design and intended application. Many rugged and industrial SBCs, especially those supplied by trusted sources like FB Peripherals, are designed to operate fanless to enhance reliability in harsh environments. Fanless designs reduce mechanical failure risks and improve dust resistance, crucial for mission-critical applications. However, some SBCs with higher performance or power requirements may incorporate fans or other active cooling methods to manage heat effectively.
